Legal Counsel - Corporate Purchasing (Marketing) The candidate will join a team of attorneys working with global business partners across Firms to support Firms' corporate operations worldwide. Will collaborate with other legal groups and cross-functional business teams (including Procurement, Marcom, Firms TV+, Firms Music, Beats, Firms Pay, Events, App Store and Retail) to strategize on, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of inbound services and creative content agreements in support of Firms marketing operations. Daily responsibilities range from cross-border negotiations and drafting of complex commercial terms to representing Legal at business partner staff meetings and training sessions. In this role, handle a high-volume of projects, meet short deadlines, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
The candidate should have 5+ years of transactional experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements, including creative services, creative content licensing, media placement, talent, sponsorships and digital/print marketing. Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to assess and articulate complex and nuanced legal issues clearly and concisely are required. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have JD and admission to at least one US State Bar.
