Senior Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Compliance Responsibilities: Support the PowerSchool Compliance Program. Provide legal support for the PowerSchool Privacy Strategy. Conducts training on privacy, security law matters, and review presentations and other materials prepared by business groups for corporate governance issues. Project manage PowerSchool's data mapping, cookie, and regulatory certification initiatives. Ability to work in an environment with multiple stakeholders and within a framework governed by corporate policies and business practices. Creates and supports an environment where all job responsibilities are in alignment with the core values, mission, and purpose of the organization. Responding to various ad-hoc queries where the role must identify, analyze, and assess risk in connection with business transactions, including in connection with internal approvals to assist approvers in making decisions on an informed basis. Must have ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to tolerate change and ambiguity. Strong experience with regulatory compliance issues including, but not limited to, state and federal laws related to securities, FCPA, state trade and competition regulations and statutes. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, to effectively coach and mentor others (including non-attorneys), and a sense of humor and resiliency, especially under tight deadlines and while managing multiple priorities. Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.

Qualifications: Completed law degree and member of bar association in relevant jurisdictions. 4+ years experience of legal experience in a large law firm or corporate in-house department (in house preferred) with considerable experience in privacy, compliances, and corporate governance matters. 7+ years experience of legal experience in a large law firm or corporate in-house department (in house preferred) with considerable experience in privacy, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters. At least one of the following privacy certifications: CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPP/C and CIPM. Experience working with executive-level management. Extensive knowledge of, and practical experience working on, securities law and corporate governance matters. Outstanding presentation, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to influence diverse groups of senior professionals. An excellent academic credentials from a major law school. Creates an environment where all job responsibilities are in alignment with the core values, mission, and purpose of the organization. Experience providing risk-based and pragmatic resolution of outstanding privacy and data protection aspects of commercial negotiations, leveraging in a quick, concise, and commercially focused legal advice. Attention to detail with a commitment to mitigating risk to the corporate client. Ability to work directly with senior levels of management and to effectively communicate legal issues and obtain input and decision making within tight deadlines. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and cope well with change. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Experience working with in-house clients and business partners. Superior legal skills and business judgment in areas of responsibility. Solid writing skills.
