director corporate counsel- Supply Chain, Innovation, Commercial Duties: will work closely with business leads in Starbucks global supply chain, innovation and research & development groups, as well as other support functions, to help achieve business results. Your work will include drafting, reviewing, and supporting the negotiation of contracts using your legal expertise on commercial matters, including the purchase and sale of goods and services, construction and design build projects, capital equipment purchases and installation, licensing of intellectual property, development of commercial products, and product distribution and transportation. You will provide advice and training on negotiating contract terms and the resolution of contract issues, as well as on intellectual property, antitrust, and other legal topics, to help achieve business goals while proactively managing and mitigating business risk.

Qualifications: Lead ? As a member of the Global Supply Chain, Innovation, Commercial team, you will lead as the Subject Matter Expert, in proving legal support to one or more of cross-functional business teams to these critical Starbucks business units as a key legal and strategic counselor providing timely creative and practical legal advice in a fast-paced business environment. Guide ? Provide strategic legal counseling to leaders in the Global Supply Chain business unit, as well as the adjacent businesses and functions that collaborate with and are supported by it. Collaborate ? Establish highly collaborative relationships with the team, clients and with other Law & Corporate Affairs partners to provide cross-functional support, including on matters of licensing, intellectual property, product development, real estate, regulatory compliance, and litigation. Support ? Play a key role for the Law & Corporate Affairs team that provides legal support to key business units, including partnering with paralegals and other department staff members. Must have 12+ years of relevant substantive legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department working on commercial transactions. Previous experience working on drafting template agreements and client self-help tools, working on cross-border transactions and construction projects (including a working knowledge of agreements such as A102, A104 and AIA 141 agreements) preferred. License to practice law in pertinent jurisdictions, either through general admission or limited admission as in-house counsel.
