Corporate Counsel Duties: Be a part of a high-performing legal team and contribute to our hungry and humble, inclusive culture. Support securities law compliance and SEC reporting, including preparation and filing of periodic reports, proxy statements, registration statements and other public company disclosures. Assist with corporate governance matters, including assistance on board, committee, shareholder and NYSE matters and administration and maintenance of corporate governance policies and charters. Provide support on environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives and programs. Provide support on strategic transactions. Be a trusted business partner to teams across the company, including accounting, finance, communications, human resources and investor relations. Support the continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree and law degree from highly-regarded schools. Active membership in at least one U.S. State Bar. 3+ years relevant experience at a major law firm and/or in-house. Exceptional critical thinking abilities, strong business acumen and excellent business judgment; must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and pivot between responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and ability to collaborate cross functionally. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex issues clearly and communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts. Proficient drafting and legal technical skills, with keen attention to detail.
