Counsel, Real Estate and Corporate Duties: Provide advice on customer service, risk management, and dispute resolution issues related to our real estate portfolio. Assist General Counsel in providing advice on real estate law issues including local housing and zoning regulations. Draft and review real estate agreements and commercial contracts. Maintain and manage legal files, templates, and processes. Assist our General Counsel in developing and improving internal processes for collaboration with cross-functional partners, including operations. Assist our General Counsel in managing our trademark and patent applications in the U.S. and abroad. Assist our General Counsel in providing advice on employment and corporate law issues. Partner with and manage outside counsel.

Qualifications: Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. Member of at least 1 U.S. State Bar (preferably California), with good standing. 2+ years of major law firm work with a focus on real estate litigation or transactions. Strong Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent judgment and communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Action and results-oriented, with the ability to adapt quickly. Ability to prioritize and manage workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Growth minded, collaborative, and able to work on a variety of legal matters outside of the immediate area of substantive expertise Nice to have: Experience with landlord/tenant legal issues. Experience with commercial contracts and technology, licensing, and intellectual property agreements. Experience with corporate law and corporate governance matters. Experience with technology companies and/or startup organizations.
