Associate Corporate Attorney Duties: Work across a spectrum of legal, business, and strategic issues. Negotiate non-disclosure agreements. Answer to subpoenas and investigations. Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and negotiate related agreements. Provide guidance on regulatory and compliance issues. Work with teams across including Partnerships, Human Resources, Compliance, Marketing, and Risk. Collaborate with the legal team on and lead strategic initiatives to help increase the efficacy and efficiency of the legal team.
Qualifications: An attorney in good standing with the California or New York Bar. 1-3 years, in good standing, of relevant experience in a law firm, or in-house legal team. Knowledge of corporate law. Solid people skills, specifically, work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey advice clearly and synthesize complex issues. A self-starter and have the ability to thrive in a start-up environment with the ability to work independently and run things own business. Self-motivated, driven, reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
