Corporate Counsel Duties: Negotiate contracts with other companies counsel and contracting authorities. Work closely with Supply Chain team and other members of the Legal team to finalize, execute, and administer the contracts that put satellites into space and deliver bandwidth across the globe. Provide guidance on legal issues to teams throughout delivering a clear plan of action, not an answer that ends with it depends. Draft, update, and review standard agreements. Maintain corporate policies. Work with Finance team, providing insight on tax and corporate compliance issues.
Requirements: 2+ years of experience in corporate or transactional law Admission to practice law in one of the United States of America. Eligibility to practice as an in-house counsel in the State of California. A JD Degree or equivalent degree. Strong knowledge of contract law. High adaptability; ability to gain expertise in multiple areas of the law intellectual property, employment, insurance, and government contracting, among others and work within all of those areas on a day-to-day basis. Strong analytical abilities. Excellent communication skills with audiences both with or without legal training and experience. Bonus: Experience with manufacturing or aerospace. Prior work with supply chain personnel or issues. Prior work with a startup or small-to-medium business. Experience or knowledge in export control regulations and relevant laws. Knowledge of employment law.
