Corporate Litigation Counsel Duties: Provide high quality, effective legal counsel on a variety of legal matters, including employment law, corporate litigation, and general corporate matters. Provide guidance to employment teams regarding employee relations. Retain, direct, and manage external legal counsel for litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes. Review legal documentation with internal stakeholders and local counsel in North America, South America, and APAC regions to ensure compliance with advertising and labeling regulations. Provide guidance on compliance with federal and state regulatory matters related to healthcare. Advise senior management on various matters such as legal requirements and track legislation to advise on new statutory obligations. Proactively identify and recommend solutions for legal risks. Provide training to team members on employment and compliance issues.
Requirements: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school, with strong academic and professional credentials. Active member in good standing with the California State Bar or California State Bar eligibility. 7+ years of combined private practice and/or in-house experience in corporate litigation, employment litigation, and regulatory issues. Knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws and healthcare-related regulations. Expert understanding of applicable aspects of civil litigation, legal processes, and related regulatory systems. Strong work ethic, self-starter, responsible, and detail-oriented. Ability to manage and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously. Excellent analytical, organizational, and information-seeking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively and appropriately communicate legal risk and advice to internal stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with team members and external partners at all levels.
