: Operations and Corporate Attorney Duties: Respond to internal client requests in a timely manner through effective prioritization, top-notch organization skills and strong communication skills. Highest level of quality in written work product. Build strong relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders so that they proactively seek counsel. Effectively and strategically negotiate and document sophisticated, multi-party contracts. Advocate strongly for the company's position in a variety of situations while striking an appropriate balance between limiting the company's risk and preserving the company's valued relationships with customers and suppliers. Engages with and advises all CEI corporate support functions and related operations team activities. Acts as principal legal liaison with Human Resources to address employment?related challenges, improve policies and procedures, and assist in establishing effective training programs. Provides legal support and analysis for corporate supplier, subcontractor, and consultant agreements to maintain a balanced risk for the company while meeting the specialized requirements of projects. Selects and manages outside counsel as needed to handle employment claims and litigation. Manages litigation and claim matters as necessary. Works with Legal team and other departments to define policies and establish review processes for subpoenas, garnishments, demands, and other orders requiring responses. Reviews and advises on corporate leases, maintenance and purchase contracts, and other corporate agreements. Serves as a legal resource in all areas of risk management and compliance. Ensures compliance with contract management procedures; provides ongoing support on drafting, negotiation, and interpretation of corporate contracts. Ensures compliance with claim management procedures. Provides legal advice on compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and rules. Provides legal leadership on cross-functional teams. Identify legal issues relevant to the business, and provide well-reasoned recommendations to address critical issues. Proactively educates internal clients on relevant issues. Assists CLO on corporate and compliance matters as requested. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications: Should have Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and Bar admission in at least one state. Must have good standing in all states where admitted. Must have 7-10 years of experience in a combination of law firm and in-house legal department setting, with a focus on corporate support functions, contracts, corporate governance/compliance, and labor/employment law. Construction Industry experience desired. Team orientation, highly collaborative both when leading a team and when being part of a team. Highly organized in working, thinking, and prioritizing. Strong attention to detail, process development and organizational management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
