Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will monitor regulatory developments and best practices in securities and corporate governance areas and drive communication, education, and training for internal teams and the overall organization. Oversee management and implementation of the Company's policies and procedures. Work with the Company and manage outside counsel to maintain the Company's Intellectual Property portfolio. Advise the Company on all privacy and data security compliance including working closely with Company's Information Security officers. Manage all Company real estate leases. Maintain and manage all Company insurance policies. Advise business and teams on compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory and compliance matters. Tackle innovative challenges and new areas of law and learning in our industry and business. Advice and support Human Resources regarding labor and employment issues. Oversee and manage vendor management, procurement, and contracting team.
The candidate should have a Licensed to practice law in Texas or California or be eligible to practice law in Texas or California if licensed in another state. Should have 4-8 years of experience in either a law firm or in-house. Experience with privacy regulations such as CCPA, GDPR, and others. Solid corporate transactional and securities experience. Experience in a technology company environment or similar fast-paced entrepreneurial setting will be preferred. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to organize, plan, coordinate and implement complex projects. Must have a personal commitment to high standards of ethical business conduct. Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated success in practice. Strong ability to assess and manage the business and legal risks and formulate strategic and balanced risk mitigation plans and communicate those plans to legal and business executives in the Company. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced highly collaborative multi-cultural high performance organization with geographically distributed teams. Experience managing other legal professionals and outside counsel to high performance and high expectations.
