Corporate Counsel The candidate will partner with the legal team and their business operations clients to achieve operational excellence, ensure compliance with state and federal regulators, consider legal issues of first impression and move strategic deals through to completion. Will structure, draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology, distribution, licensing and marketing contracts. Provide ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of legal areas, such as intellectual property, digital media and regulatory compliance. Provide product or service counseling support. Serve as lead counsel and directly advise business clients on strategic deals. Resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in at least one State Bar (or equivalent). Must have 2+ years of legal experience at a law firm, corporation, military, or similar experience. Should preferably have 3+ years of experience in a top national or international law firm. In-house experience is a plus.
