Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Responsible for handling regulatory and compliance matters involving federal and state regulatory agencies and consumer issues. Manage and provide counsel for regulatory issues involving, but not limited to, data privacy, TCPA, CAN SPAM, and CCPA. Drafting and negotiation of software licenses and other transaction documents.
Qualifications: Law degree. 5+ years experience working as an attorney. Substantial experience handling regulatory and compliance matters involving state and federal regulatory agencies. Substantial knowledge of regulatory issues involving TCPA, CAN SPAM, CCPA, and data privacy. Previous experience in drafting and negotiating software licensing and transactional sales agreements. Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to efficiently and expertly perform legal research using Lexis-Nexis. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple tasks at a single time. Licensed in any state with the ability to be a Registered In-House Counsel for CA. Desired Qualifications: Previous law firm experience working as an attorney a plus. Previous in-house experience working as an attorney a plus. Excellent organizational, problem solving and communicative skills. Ability to pay high attention to detail while juggling multiple projects at a time. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving tasks and projects.
