Corporate Counsel, Labor & Employment The candidate will be working with key partners across and on production sites to provide practical advice and counseling regarding general employment issues like workplace harassment, performance management and discharge, employee classification, employment of minors, disability accommodation, and other relevant labor and employment issues. Creating policies and procedures for U.S. and International production, including anti-harassment and other relevant training as needed, establishing production-facing resources, and providing oversight of audits and compliance obligations. Managing investigations regarding claims and allegations of workplace misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and health and safety issues, including overseeing outside counsel and other external resources. Partnering closely with key Amazon business stakeholders, including production, production operations, creative, health & safety, security, risk management, PR, HR and colleagues on the Labor Relations team; this role will also work closely with third party production companies, line producers, and production personnel. Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar. Must have 5+ years of experience as an employment attorney. A mix of law firm and in-house experience, preferably at a network, studio or production company. Ability to work independently while effectively supporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills and a solutions-oriented approach to addressing issues. Capability to manage a high volume of projects and meet deadlines. Practical and sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
