Senior - Regulated Investment Companies Tax The candidate will identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Primary responsibilities include overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries; research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques for a variety of entities and their affiliates. May also undertake tax compliance assignments for current and former executives of client corporations and partners of client organizations. Assume tax-planning responsibilities for federal and individual clients. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Consultants. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification preferred. Advanced degree like MST, MAcc, J.D. or LL.M. preferred. Must have 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent in law firms or industry. Should have experience in tax compliance and consultation and a solid understanding of Subchapter M, calendar year distribution requirements, securities taxation, information reporting, and applicable areas of Subchapter C and international tax. Experience with partnership taxation is helpful. Prior Big 4 experience a plus. Some travel may be required.
