Tax Manager - Federal Planning
The candidate will be responsible for analysis and documentation of tax implications of business planning issues including: consolidated corporate income taxation, dividend and stock transactions, entity organization and dissolutions, and the treatment of financial instruments and securities. Will research and analyze the effects of various domestic and international transactions. Support domestic and international mergers and acquisitions including due diligence and integration. Support domestic and international income tax reporting including tax compliance and provisions. Support US and international tax controversy teams on tax audits. Manage and direct junior tax professionals and external tax service providers.
The candidate should have B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent. Master's in Tax or J.D. degree (or greater) desirable. CPA or Bar membership preferred. Must have 6+ years of federal income tax consulting experience including relevant experience with income tax compliance/reporting. Experience in working in a large public accounting firm or large multinational corporate tax department is preferred. Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions and the federal taxation of Subchapter C corporations is desired. Significant understanding of the taxation of US federal Subchapter C Corporations is required. Strong technical writing and federal tax research skills preferred. Advanced Excel skills are required.
