Fortune 500 Company seeks Senior Legal Counsel to draft, negotiate and close a wide range of technology transactions-related arrangements, such as for consumer electronics development, software development, software licensing, outsourcing, security, systems integration, supply and professional service agreements. Coordinate with multiple internal departments such as Product Management, Engineering and Program Management functions, as well as Export Compliance, Open Source, Patent Licensing, Patent Creation, Nondisclosure, and Strategic IP, to advise and support development of FLO TV products and services. Advise as to product regulatory compliance. Should have a J.D. from accredited law school. Should be a member in good standing with California State Bar. Should have strong educational pedigree. Transactional experience and demonstrated success at top-tier law firm, preferably 5-7 years. In-house experience (3+ years) and demonstrated success as in-house counsel for companies involved in consumer electronics, digital media, telecommunications and software industries. Experience with consumer electronics regulatory compliance, patent licensing and open source is highly desirable. Understanding of emerging media distribution technologies a significant plus. Flexibility and willingness to work on all types of matters, large and small, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent drafting skills are also required. Must be a team player. Some international as well as domestic travel may be required.
