Qualifications: A JD degree and membership in good standing in the New York Bar. (Non-New York attorneys would be required to register as an in-house counsel with the State Bar of New York.). 8+ years of related legal experience in a top law firm or corporate environment. In-house experience in a multinational corporation preferred. In-depth knowledge and understanding of privacy law, including U.S. privacy law, European data protection law, data transfer law, privacy laws as they relate to cybersecurity, and the use of monitoring tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent judgment and analytical skills. Ability to assess risk strategically and help clients find solutions that enable them to mitigate risk while achieving their goals. Program/project management skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
