Associate Director, Tax Counsel

Associate Director, Tax Counsel Responsibilities: Analyze, develop and implement global tax planning strategies consistent with corporate tax objectives and company strategic vision. Provide comprehensive tax support, i.e. tax structuring, planning, analysis, and recommendations, and partner with stakeholders across the company-requires close collaboration and partnership with senior tax members and leaders across multiple functional areas to understand business needs and objectives. Analyze tax issues for various M&A, licensing, collaboration, restructuring, and other strategic transactions. Provide tax support for the company's business development initiatives. Support a team of 4-6 tax lawyers and coordinate the use of outside consultants where needed. Coordinate with tax compliance and provision functions to ensure proper reporting of transactions. Monitor and analyze federal, state, and foreign legislative, regulatory and judicial developments for impacts to the company, risk opportunities, and recommendations.

Qualifications: J.D., a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or business-related, with LL.M is preferred. 5+ years corporate tax experience. Law firm and/or corporate tax department experience is a plus. Relevant big 4 experience is preferred. Well-rounded expertise in global operations, US and international tax issues, international tax planning, transfer pricing, and cross-border M&A. Strong tax accounting background. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
