Director, International Tax Services
The candidate will work with current and prospective multinational clients to develop long-term, sustainable effective tax rate (ETR) solutions. Will lead brainstorming and other technical sessions intended to understand a client or prospective client's international tax architecture. Proficiently research technical issues arising from such brainstorming sessions. Analyze tax and financial data and model ETR impact. Keep current with tax practices and changes in the tax law having a direct impact on current and prospective clients. Assist in the marketing of international tax services to existing and potential clients. Draft and assist in the delivery of proposals and other client presentations. Provide and review written and oral advice to clients serving a range of industries. Supervise assignments of tax professionals serving as Associates and Senior Associates. Mentor and supervise tax professionals serving as Associates and Senior Associates. Liaise with Tax and affiliates across the globe to market international tax services.
The candidate should preferably have a Master's degree in Taxation or J.D./LL.M. degree. Should be either a CPA or be admitted to a United States Bar. Must have 5+ years of international tax experience gained in law firm, industry or Big Four. Significant experience in federal taxation will be considered. Should have prior experience with some or all of the following international tax planning areas: Outbound transactions and Subpart F, Inbound Transactions, Check the Box , Tax Treaty Issues, Repatriation, Foreign Tax Credit Planning, Global Cash Utilization and Accounting for Income Taxes. Compliance experience is a plus. Should have willingness to travel as required.
