Corporate Counsel, Ethics And Compliance Investigations

Mountain View CA Corporate Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Investigations The candidate will lead internal investigations concerning potential Code of Conduct, conflicts of interest, financial misconduct, and other violations of internal firm's policies that may present compliance or legal risk to firm's. Document investigative steps and draft robust investigations report for business review. Will conduct root cause analyses of corporate misconduct and develop appropriate remediation in response to the identified misconduct. Assess and manage known risks and also identify new emerging risks across business units and geographies. Privacy Counsel The candidate will identify privacy needs and advise the company and functional teams they work with as to upcoming legal impacts, new policies and privacy laws. Working alongside the product team as they develop new products, be a key contributor providing input and guidance on the different initiatives. Will have a seat at the table and contribute to the product vision by applying expertise on privacy and other important areas of law such as GDPR, CCPA, COPPA. Develop and implementing privacy-by-design, including advising company's product and technical teams on data storage retention rules, access controls and other appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the data company is processing. Design and implement a new consent management framework. Provide guidance to company's product team on permission workflow and manage end user consents across different supply channels. Evaluate new cookie collection and sync methods, including 1st-party cookie collection and publisher cookie-syncing. Revise company's external privacy policy and other privacy-related policies. Draft new contractual language relating to privacy compliance and risk allocation. Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal company stakeholders including product, marketing, marketplace quality and support teams.

The candidate should have a Law degree from top-tier law school. Must have 6+ years of legal experience at a law firm and or in-house with an emphasis on privacy matters. Ability to dive deep into all products and assess/audit privacy practices is required. Strong command of GDPR, COPPA and all other related acronyms is needed.
