Compliance Counsel

New York City NY Compliance Counsel Duties: Provide legal services in support of various functions in the organization, including, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Sales and Security. Will report to the VP, Compliance & Corp. Counsel and involve working with people in different levels of the organization, formalizing processes and improving the compliance program. Experience in counseling clients on labor & employment, preferred. Experience with payroll tax and/or privacy matters a plus. Must possess a superior knowledge and application of contract and business law with strong legal analysis skills. Sound judgment in managing contractual risk and exposure. Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury The candidate will be a member of the insurance defense litigation team, providing legal representation to insureds and/or to the company before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. Handling own cases from beginning to end, will also prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements.
