Qualifications: Should have Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school, and member of the bar of a U.S. jurisdiction. Should have 2 to 4 years of experience working with business in connection with a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, marketing, and advertising issues, data privacy, and other transactional activities. Should have experience at a firm or in-house. Should know privacy and consumer right issues, specifically CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and FTC guidelines and state laws related to online marketing, advertising, and auto-renewal services. Manage outside counsel and leverage them for drafting and in-person or teleconference negotiations as needed. Contribute to real estate investment committee presentations (and other meetings) and have up-to-date knowledge of major projects, deals and goals.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from a Tier 1 law school. Should be a member of a Bar. Must have 5+ years of transactional work experience in commercial real estate law at a top-tier firm or in-house legal department OR 3+ years of significant leasing experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department. Strong desire to contribute to a cross-functional team which is responsible for handling a mix of business and legal objectives is required. Excellent drafting and negotiation capabilities are needed. Strong understanding of both the commercial real estate industry and the interplay between legal and business risk is a must.
