Developer and steward of significant tax matters involving compensation/ fringe benefits consulting, R&D tax credits, transaction cost analysis, valuation allowances and accounting method changes. Will be responsible for tax matters related to the company's investments in partnerships, passive foreign investment companies and co-investments, including associated deferred taxes. Provide technical support for income tax filing positions, financial statement reporting of taxes, income tax audits, restructurings and acquisition/ joint venture transactions. Prepare accurate responses in a timely manner, including memoranda and transaction-related documentation. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments. Evaluate impact of tax legislation on the company, communicate to stakeholders and recommend a course of action. Will also support the company's advocacy and lobbying efforts. Assist in the development of research materials on tax questions/issues and provide explanations, analysis and recommendation to other departments.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA/MST or tax attorney or LL.M. degree preferred. Must have 7+ years of tax experience in a Big 4 public accounting or national law firm and/or US multinational corporation with SEC filing requirements. Financial services experience a plus. Knowledge of tax research principles, procedures and techniques required. Should have demonstrated ability to research tax issues and effectively communicate findings both in writing and via presentations.
